Unconference FAQ

What is an Unconference?

An unconference is a participant-driven meeting. See more here.

Is the event only for IFS trained practitioners?

No, it is open to everyone, from curious beginners to experts.

What can I expect?

A mostly open schedule that we will create together. The schedule will contain sessions and topics proposed by participants. Find out more here.

Can I propose a session?

Everyone can and yes, please do! You can either propose a session in advance, or propose one at the beginning of the event.

Do I have to propose a session/topic to participate?

Nope! Bring as much as you want, and can. Anyone is welcome to just join the proposed sessions. (Many get inspired to propose something once they see others do it. No pressure, of course!)

Do I need to be an expert to propose a topic or session?

Nope! You are welcome to bring your curiosity, and to propose a topic that you would want to see discussed. There is no guarantee that an expert will show up, but meeting with other non-experts to discuss something is always an interesting option.

Will this be group therapy?

No. This event is not intended as a replacement for any existing or potential therapeutic or learning process. This is an event for IFS practitioners, IFS-informed people, and curious humans, to share ideas and connect about our practice.

Where do I get a ticket?

Here.

Will I get a qualification out of this?

Nope! The IFS Collective is not an IFSI affiliated entity or individual. Therefore, the IFS Institute does not assume any liability or responsibility regarding its contents or the qualification that attendance to this event may entail.

Attendance to this event shall not entitle any participant to:

  • take part in any IFSI’s arranged official IFS training either of Level 1, 2 or 3.

  • get IFS continuing education program credits.

  • obtain (or meet specific requirements to obtain) any kind of IFS certification or accreditation.
